Jamus SC will face a stern test at the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after being drawn into Group B during the official draw held in Kigali, Rwanda, on Friday.
The South Sudan Premier League runners-up have been grouped with Tanzanian giants Simba SC, fellow Tanzanian side Singida BS, and Somalia's Mogadishu City.
The tournament groups are:
Group A: APR FC (Rwanda), Vipers SC (Uganda), Gor Mahia FC (Kenya), Garde Républicaine (Djibouti)
Group B: Jamus SC (South Sudan), Simba SC (Tanzania), Singida BS (Tanzania), Mogadishu City (Somalia)
Group C: Al Hilal SC (Sudan), Rayon Sports (Rwanda), Tusker FC (Kenya), KVZ FC (Zanzibar)
The top teams from each group, along with the best 2nd runner team, will qualify for the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Tusker FC of Kenya was drafted into the competition after Sudan's El Merriekh SC withdrew, citing the delayed conclusion of the Sudan Premier League as the reason for their pull-out.
